attenzione. il pdf di stampa e' pesantissimo (1 GB se non di piu' !!!!) e ci mette un'eternita' a stampare.

Hi Stefano. What you say sounds strange to my ears: The Instructions booklet is a 433 Ko pdf and the competition puzzle booklet is only 217 Ko. I think it's really not much compared to other online tournaments (GP files are almost always more than 1 Go). I changed a bit the way to do the file (incorporated directly svg files, it was easier for me than doing eps files), so the file is a bit bigger, but I'm quite sure it's not the problem.
Did you have problems with both files (instructions and puzzles)?

Did someone have the same problem as Stefano?

No. I made it yesterday and had no problem in downloading and opening the file...

I do not know whether it was a problem with my printer. It took a while to download. I thought the PC was stuck so I switched it off and restarted, (I did not switch off the printer) after this I notice that the print spool was extremely slow, I had my first page off the printer after more than 10 minutes. during the spool process the printer window showed about 100MB per page

Similar to last year's Mahabharat, each contest will have significant number of classic Sudoku and will introduce 5 variations of one category. The difficulty will be lower than the monthly contests and length of each contest is of 90 minutes.

a partire da oggi e fino al 6 novembre, contest " X Killer" sul sito degli indiani. http://logicmastersindia.com/2015/11S/ Si tratta del "remake" della manche che fu cancellata dal WSC di Sofia perche' il puzzle preparato dagli organizzatori era sbagliato. Gli indiani (Deb Mohanty?) avevano preparato un round di allenamento e hanno deciso di utilizzarlo cosi'. Avevano proposto a Dejan di giocarlo con spirito non competitivo "just for fun" ma non se ne fece nulla. Regole un po' particolari, spirito non competitivo/agonistico.

I primi appuntamenti del nuovo anno sono i seguenti

RIpartono il Sudku e Puzzle GP organizzati dalla WPF. La prima puntata, il Sudoku GP organizzato dall'Olanda (Richard Stolk e Arvid Baars) iniziera' il 8 gennaio (e non il 2 come erroneamente annunciato in precedenza) . link alla seguente pagina http://gp.worldpuzzle.org/content/sudoku-gp; il successivo sara' un contest di Puzzle con organizzazione indiana,previsto per il 22 gennaio.

Continuano i contests di Puzzle e sudoku organizzati da LMI.Ilprossimoappuntamento e'il TAPA VARIATION CONTEST (competizione di stampo classico con inizio il 2 gennaio) e il CLASSIC TAPA CONTEST che avra' la durata di 7 settimane a partire dal 2 gennaio, con un puzzle algiorno da risolvere a schermo. http://logicmastersindia.com/home/

Inoltre i tedeschi annunciano le qualificazioni al DSM (campionato Tedesco di Sudoku)con la prima fase online con inizio il 22 gennaio. Purtroppo non partecipera' Florian Kirch, membro della squadra tedesca attualmente campione del mondo in carica di puzzle, prematuramente scomparso pochi giorni fa all'eta' di 24 anni (!!!!) in circostanze non ancora note. RIcordiamolo cosi'.

Al mondiale di Senec ho avuto occasione di parlare con Prasanna Seshadri a proposito dell'organizzazione dei tornei Puzzle Ramayan e Sudoku Mahabharat che ci hanno tenuto compagnia per gli ultimi due anni.
Gli indiani sono molto occupati a organizzare i campionati del 2017 e quindi gli altri eventi ne risentiranno un po'. Hanno comunque promesso che qualche torneo verra' organizzato ma in misura inferiore rispetto all' anno scorso.
Teniamo d'occhio il sito, qualcosa spuntera'. Per ora io spero che qui spuntino i porcini che finora non si sono visti.
